The Google Drive app allows you to work on your files within Google Drive in an offline mode.  It is designed to allow you to drag and drop files using the File Explorer inherent to Windows:

  1. Go to Google Drive (drive.google.com) and login
  2. Click Settings (gear icon at upper right)
  3. Click "Download Drive"
  4. Follow affirmative prompts to install, including any acceptances

After installation is complete, notice the Google Drive icon on your computer desktop.

Google Drive will be available through your computer's file explorer.
