In this unit, you will be writing an informational piece on a freshwater ecosystem. You will research a topic and write an informational piece about this topic. The teachers will help you publish your piece as a magazine. Within the magazine, you will include general information about your ecosystem, a Big Moment, which is a highlight on something specific about your topic, as well as a fiction story. To understand the format, you may want to check out a Ranger Rick Magazine from the library.
