Math Assignments

Geometry Assignments

Honors Geometry

These assignments are for any student taking the Honors Geometry course during the 2023/2024 school year.

Students choosing to enroll in Geometry Honors are required to have an understanding of the skills addressed in the summer Edia assignments. It will be assumed that students can complete problems similar to those in the Edia assignments during the first week of class. Although the practice problems will not be checked for a grade, these skills will be assessed by a test during the first week of class. Use these Edia assignments as way to review and practice the necessary topics.  Hints and step-by-step directions are available within the Edia assignments.  The assessment on these topics will be administered during the first week of school and will be scored out of 100 points in the Assignment category.

Purpose:  The purpose of these Edia assignments is to help students and their parents determine whether or not they are prepared for Geometry Honors.  Students’ test results will be reported to students within the first two weeks of the semester.

Outcome:  The Geometry Honors teacher of any student who receives a D (69%) or lower on the assessment will contact the student’s parent and guidance counselor to discuss either an alternate course selection or what actions the student would need to take to stay in the course and be successful.

Help:  Students working on these assignments that require help can email Mrs. Perini at nperini@tvsd.org.  Emails over the summer will be answered once per week.

(This link should enroll you in a course where you will have access to all of the assignments associated with the skills needed for Geometry Honors.  All assignments will say “Geometry Honors Summer Assignment” underneath the skill title.)
