REC Library Mission

The Mission of the Robeson Elementary Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are ethical and effective users of information. This mission is accomplished by:

1. Providing instruction in information literacy and STEM Labs

2. Providing access to materials in a variety of formats

3. Support Pennsylvania State Common Core Standards and school's curriculum

4. Collaborating with classroom teachers to create and co-teach engaging learning explorations

5. Promote the use of the school library by students, faculty and community

Our library operates on a fixed-schedule which translates into each classroom visiting the library three times every 12 day cycle.

Checking Out Materials, students are allowed:

Kindergarten-1 book

1st and 2nd-2 books, 1 magazine, 1 movie

3rd and 4th-4 books, 1 magazine, 1 movie

Library Happenings

Library book selections are underway!

Students are able to keep materials for 12 days. After that the system indicates it is overdue.

Each week an automated overdue report is generated and emails are sent to parents if an email address was provided to the district. These emails are a gentle reminder that there is an overdue. Please have your child visit me or return the book during their next library time.

If a book is lost or damaged, please contact me and we will coordinate a solution, egalaska@tvsd.org

Find out what book your child likes the best

Purchase in hardcover or library bound
Have your child sign the book on inside front cover for her/his birthday so all will see
Have your child bring to Mrs. Galaska and I will snap a photo and share a birthday greeting on our social media pages
